The West African Power Pool (WAPP) is a specialized institution of the ECOWAS located in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. The WAPP is an equal opportunity employer committed to making employment decisions without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex, national origin or marital status.

The following conditions shall be satisfied by a person before he/she may be appointed to any position:

1.  A WAPP member country citizen (an employee is allowed to hold a dual citizenship i.e. a nationality in addition to a WAPP member country);
2. Older than Eighteen years of age;
3. Holder of at least the minimum qualifications and expertise specified in the Job Description for occupying the position;
4. Good conduct and manners; Not convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor.
