Expression of Interest for the Preselection of Firms to Update the Feasibility Study for the Salkadamna Coal Potential Development Project

As part of the update of the feasibility study of the Salkadamna project comprising an open-cast coal mine, a coal-fired thermal power plant, transmission lines (and associated transformer stations) and a coal briquette factory which will be financed from the national budget, the Compagnie Minière et Energétique du Niger (CMEN) is launching this notice for expressions of interest with a view to pre-selecting the Firms which will be invited to acquire the Request for Proposal.

The firm will be chosen by the method based on technical quality and cost in accordance with the procedures which will be described in the Request for Proposal.

Any candidate interested in this notice can obtain a complete set of the application file free of charge from the CMEN secretariat, on working days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by email at abouzeidi.danmaza@gmail.com.

Letters of expression of interest written in French and accompanied by the documents indicated in the preselection file must be submitted to the CMEN secretariat no later than June 3, 2024 at 10 a.m.

The opening of tenders will take place the same day in the CMEN meeting room at 11 a.m.

The list of pre-selected candidates will be communicated no later than twenty-five (25) calendar days after the deadline for submission of applications.
