Prequalification for the turnkey construction (EPC) of 330/225/90/33 kV Ouaga-Est Electric Transformer Station

This prequalification notice is in response to the General Procurement Notice for the project published in Development Business Online under the reference AfDB 548-04-19 of 17/04/2019 and on the portal of the African Development Bank ( www.afdb.org).

The Government of Burkina Faso has received financing from the African Development Fund to cover the cost of the multinational electricity interconnection project: Nigeria - Niger - Benin - Burkina Faso, and intends to allocate part of the proceeds of this financing to payments related to the market for the construction of the 330/225/90/33 kV Ouaga-Est Electric Transformer Station.
The Project Management Unit intends to prequalify contractors and / or companies for work consisting of a single lot with the following main characteristics:

• Construction in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) of an air-insulated (AIS) dual-port (330/225/90 kV) busbar with a transfer busbar (330 kV);
• Installation of three 330/225 kV transformers of 150 MWA each; two transformers 225/90 kV 100 MVA each and two transformers 90/33 kV 50 MVA each

The invitations to tender are scheduled to be launched in December 2019.

Prequalification shall be conducted in accordance with the prequalification procedures specified in the Procurement Framework for Operations Funded by the African Development Bank Group, October 2015 edition, which is available on the Bank's website at address: http://www.afdb.org. . It is open to all bidders from countries that meet the criteria of source, as defined in the Bank's Procurement Framework. Candidates can submit their application file alone or in a group.

Interested candidates may obtain a complete set of the prequalification file in French by making a written request to the address indicated below together with proof of payment of a non-refundable amount of twenty thousand (20,000) Naira. Payment will be made by transfer to account # 2710002733 opened at Ecobank Nigeria - Abuja on behalf of West African Power Pool / North Core. The file will be removed from the Project Management Unit by the candidate. However, it may be sent by courier or any other means of transmission of his choice. In this case, the shipping costs will be borne by the candidate and the Project Management Unit can not be held responsible in case of non-receipt.
