Technical Assistance for development of St Paul River & WAPP Integration

The aim of this consultancy is to assist the WAPP and Liberian Authorities in environmental and social activities that may arise linked to Component Practical activities identified so far include in close collaboration with the engineering consultancy in charge of technical studies, review of the environmental and social scoping of different alternatives that will be considered under the initial River Basin Optimization Study and preparation of the ESIA and associated Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the two priori schemes selected in first phase. At this stage it is anticipated that the priority schemes will include via Reservoir at the head of the River basin for regulating flows and one hydropower scheme downstream including the transmission line to evacuate energy to the CLSG and the national system.
